Rita's earliest memory of baking was at her mother's side, begging for a tiny bit of batter to bake in her own little 3-tiered baking tins. Together, they assembled the first "7 layer cake" she had ever seen!
So, after a 30 year career as an Intensive Care Nursery RN, Rita was pulled back to her creative roots and turned her passionate hobby into baking and designing cakes and desserts of all kinds - and Raspberry Rose was born.
Now, those same little baking tins which sparked her love of all things baked, are being used by her granddaughter to create masterpieces which only 5 year-olds dream of!
Developing her mother's recipes as the basis for all of her creative flavors, Rita is excited to offer the finest for your wedding, celebration, or to simply satisfy your own sweet cravings.
Pricing starts at $3.75/serving with the majority of cakes ranging around $4.00/serving. Final cost is determined by design, multiplicity of flavors and/or fillings and embellishments.
Delivery is free within 40 miles, as long as, the total cost is greater than $700. If it is greater than $700 but over 40 miles, delivery starts at $75. If it is less than $700 and over 40 miles, delivery starts at $125. Total cost is determined by the entire order, not just the wedding cake.
I offer cream cheese mints, truffles (as favors or in a truffle tower), cheesecakes, desserts and a variety of signature cookies and brownies.
I also rent crystal and silver pieces to decorate with, as well as, a variety of gold, rose gold, silver, wooden, tree trunk, glass and mirrored plateaus to set your wedding cake on.
Should you need more servings then what the particular design of cake you have chosen will feed or if you desire a faux cake with a more cost effective alternative of serving guests, I offer back up cakes starting at $2.50/serving. Back up cakes are double layered so you may have a filling if desired. They are kept in the kitchen as they are simply frosted and not decorated. However, when cut and plated, they are identical to a slice of the wedding cake. It is a much more elegant presentation for your guests than a single layer sheet cake.
Taste testings are always done individually and consist of the most popular flavor choices: white and chocolate cake with blackberry filling and almond and guava cake with guava filling. You will be able to try both classic and traditional buttercream as well as any flavors I am working on that week. Typically, there will be 3-4 other flavors with different filling/frosting choices. In addition, I will also have a variety of truffles.
During our time together, we will construct a mock cake of your design allowing you to envision the shape, size and final look of the cake of your dreams.
Cost for the taste testing is $50. If you chose to book with me and order 100+ servings, $30 of the taste testing cost will be applied your order. If you order 200+ servings, the entire $50 will be applied to your order.
